同學們：
五四青年節一個隆重而又莊嚴的節日，一個可以激發我們青年人熱情的節日，從1919年的5月4日，轉眼間我們走過了很多個春秋了。它不是一個不同的日子，而是代表我們中國青年自己的日子。
它總是讓我回想起中國的青年為了祖國和人民的命運而作的斗爭的精神。我理解的五四精神是自由、民主、愛國，是銳意進取，這些在任何時代都是應該繼承和發揚的`。雖然當代大學生身處的時代和以前大不相同，但這些根深蒂固的傳統是變不了的。時光飛逝，歲月如流，從上個世紀的1919年到現在，五四已經走過了近一個世紀。
時間已經過去這么年了，彈指間灰飛煙滅，歷史的腳印永遠定格在那個時期那個動蕩的年代。那個時代充滿了的黑暗與殘酷，但是那個難忘的歷史只有留在史冊上和人們的心里。

記得有人說過，擊非典的眾志成城，直到最近幾年的汶川地震，還有前一陣子才發生的玉樹地震。我們仍然有著愛國的精神，仍然有著國家有難，我們青年人作為先鋒隊，為國家現身。雖說不上過去戰亂年代的拋頭顱灑熱血的年代，但是我們仍舊有著愛國的精神，為國家盡著微薄的力量。所以這種五四精神沒有被我們現在的年輕人所遺忘。然而我們正是在繼續壯大這種精神。
